Prince of Persia
Casey's Take: Wow what a terrible description. Anyways, all us Nerds know that this stands to be the best VideoGame adaptation of all Time. With Bruckheimer's unnecessary production values and misogynist views of "strong" women in scant clothing this will be a summer hit.
Plus the ladies get to ogle this.
Picasso and Braque Go To The Movies
Sorry No Trailer
A Documentary about how film influenced the creators of Cubism.
Casey's Take: Modern Art or "Crap" changed how we view the world, and this movie explores how Picasso and Braque pioneered untalented artists making a LOT of money and whining.
Agora
A slave turns to Christianity and falls in love with philosopher Hypatia of Alexandria.
Casey's Take: What your Mom was wishing she was watching when your Dad drug her away from Sex and the City to see "Gladiator".
Mademoiselle Chambon
A happily married man volunteers at his son's school and begins to fall in love with a teacher.
Casey's Take: I love how "happily" married men always fall in love with other women. That usually means that the man isn't "happy" or there's no such thing as "happily married". Regardless, this movie represents (in my mind) the pinnacle of French movie making, semi-attractive gaunt older women, passably attractive out of shape older men with forlorn eyes, and once thing you Americans will never understand, "the language of subtlety".
Mimacs
A man and his friends devise a plan to blow up two weapons factories.
Casey's Take: "Beeltejuice" + "Wanted" x "Amelie" = "Mimac" This looks absolutely fantastic, don't wait until you're trying to get a BJ from your hipster girlfriend during "movie night", go see this in the theater.
Residents of an island battle a zombie epidemic while searching for a cure.
Casey's Take: George Romero keeps his career going by stealing everyone else's innovations on his own tired plot invention and throwing it all together in updated movies. The title is very indicative of his revelance and possibly this blog. Haha
Have fun at the movies!
